What to know before choosing a monthly membership or a one-time credit top-up.
Can I buy an annual plan?
Annual plans are temporarily unavailable for new purchases. You can choose a monthly membership or a one-time credit top-up instead. This does not change existing memberships, credits or renewal settings.
What is the difference between a subscription and a top-up?
A Standard or Premium subscription unlocks subscription-only speech models, up to 30,000 characters per generation with ElevenLabs Turbo v2.5, and 5,000 with other models. A top-up adds 5,000 credits once, valid for 30 days. It does not start a membership, unlock models, or change your input or voice-cloning limits.
Can I turn a longer script into one audio file?
Yes. With a Standard or Premium subscription, choose ElevenLabs Turbo v2.5 to generate one MP3 from up to 30,000 characters. That full-length request costs 1,500 credits. Other models support up to 5,000 characters per generation. Free accounts support up to 2,000. These are character limits, not word limits. A top-up alone does not increase them.
I have credits. Why is a premium speech model still locked?
Credits pay for generation; membership controls access. ElevenLabs, MiniMax and Chatterbox require an active Standard or Premium subscription as well as enough credits. Kokoro is free to generate, and CosyVoice 3 uses credits without requiring a subscription.
How much speech do 5,000 credits cover?
It depends on the model. Each 1,000 input characters costs 50 credits with ElevenLabs Turbo v2.5 or 100 credits with Eleven v3. So 5,000 credits cover up to 100,000 or 50,000 characters respectively, across multiple generations. These models also require a subscription. Credits round up per generation; audio length depends on the script, voice and speed. Free Kokoro generation does not spend credits.
Do I need a credit card to start using Rekam AI?
No. Start with free voices and free speech to text before paying. New accounts receive 100 credits, valid for 30 days. Subscription-only speech models are not unlocked by these free credits.
When should I choose Premium instead of Standard?
For monthly billing, Standard includes 5,000 credits and Premium includes 20,000. Choose Premium if you need more credits each month. Both memberships have the same model access and input limits: 30,000 characters with ElevenLabs Turbo v2.5, or 5,000 with other models.
Do unused credits last forever?
No. Check the validity period shown on your plan. Top-up credits expire after 30 days and do not renew automatically. A top-up does not extend your membership or change the expiry date of credits you already have.
Is commercial use included?
Yes. You can use Rekam AI audio for commercial projects such as YouTube voiceovers, courses, podcasts and product demos. You must have the rights and permissions for any text or voice you use.
