Text-to-Speech API Integration
Your speech API works on its own. Now make it work inside your product.
For developers with an existing Next.js or FastAPI application, Rekam offers a small, AI-assisted engineering pilot: connect one speech provider to one non-streaming audio-generation flow, with tests and a documented code handoff.
Pilot fee: $750 USD, one time. We confirm that your project fits the scope before agreeing a delivery date or requesting payment. This is a separate engineering service, not a Rekam subscription, credit pack, or hosted API plan.
A useful fit
Your provider can already generate audio, but the application cannot reliably use it. For example:
- The provider expects a form, but your application sends JSON.
- One endpoint returns audio bytes while another returns an audio URL, and the player handles only one response type.
- A generation error becomes a broken download instead of a useful error message.
- Provider credentials belong on the server, but the current integration exposes them to the browser.
You have a working provider endpoint, an application you are authorized to modify, and a staging environment where the change can be tested. The pilot covers a server-side integration and the minimal client wiring for that one flow, not a new application.
What the pilot includes
- One agreed request-and-response contract. Input fields, authentication, supported audio format, success response, and expected failures are written down before implementation.
- A scoped code patch. Connect the selected provider, keep its credentials server-side, and handle the agreed audio response and errors. An observation timeout must not silently submit another paid generation.
- Verification you can repeat. A synthetic-text smoke check and tests for the agreed success and failure cases, without using your customers' scripts or recordings.
- A handoff your team controls. Configuration instructions, known limits, and a deployment/rollback checklist. Your team approves any deployment. One corrective revision against the agreed acceptance checklist is included.
Work is AI-assisted. Acceptance is based on the agreed application behavior and test results, not on claims of a human engineering team or a guaranteed voice quality.
What it does not include
The $750 pilot does not include GPU hosting, provider usage charges, a new frontend, model training, private-voice migration, real-time calling, streaming, or ongoing monitoring. It does not promise a latency target, pronunciation accuracy, regulatory certification, or a provider uptime guarantee.
If your endpoint does not work independently, or the project needs more than one integration flow, we will identify that before accepting it into this pilot. Extra work requires a separate scope; it is not automatically added to your bill.
The payment schedule, delivery date, acceptance checklist, and cancellation/refund terms are agreed in writing before payment. Sending a brief does not place an order or authorize a charge.
Send a brief, not your secrets
Email yorkyarn@gmail.com with the subject Rekam TTS integration pilot and include:
- Your application stack and the speech provider you use.
- What works independently and what fails in the application.
- The result you need: playable audio bytes, a saved audio file, or an audio URL.
- A link to public provider documentation and your desired timeframe.
Do not email API keys, passwords, private repository access tokens, customer scripts, or voice recordings. A short description or redacted error is enough to check fit. Access arrangements come later, only for an agreed project.
